Now a day a common term called stress affects all the generation of a human being either they are adults, children or old age people. Not only a common term now it has become a common problem for almost all the generation.

There is a lot of causes of stress it depends on person to person. Some common causes like the job, workload, relationship, study, financial problem, loss in business, and many more.

It is depending on your behavior and your way of thinking like how you tackle that unpleasant situation at that time.

It affects our social and physical life. In India approx. 86% of the population is affected by stress. And according to research, approximately 792 million people lived with a mental health disorder globally. This figure shows that one in ten people globally is affected by stress or mental health disorder. So, can you imagine how bad it affects everyone?

But don’t be afraid because you will overcome from this problem. you may free from it after following some tips. so, take a deep breath, and let’s trying to understand it.

What Is Stress

Generally, stress is a biological or physiological feature of the human body, which gives respond to unpleasant situations. it’s a condition that activates a particular biological response of our body, Stress generates a fight-or-flight response to the body in the unfavorable condition, actually, it instructs us whether we should fight or run away from it.

In a stressful situation or in fight-or-flight condition our body responds and gives neural stimulation to our glands, and then further some hormone is released like.

  • Epinephrine
  • Cortisol

Epinephrine

Epinephrine or adrenaline hormone also called fight-or-flight hormone is secreted from the adrenaline gland in stressful situations and due to the release of this hormone several physiological changes occurred in your body like.

  • Increase your heartbeats
  • Tightening of muscles
  • Increase blood pressure
  • Increase your breath rate. These physical changes may increase strength and stamina, increase reaction time, enhance your focus.

Cortisol

Cortisol is the main stress hormone or primary stress hormone. In the case of a stressful situation. Its function is:

  • To enhance the amount of glucose in your bloodstream
  • altering the immune system response
  • increase the use of glucose in your brain 
  • Enhance the availability of substances that repair tissues.
  • Also affect that part of the brain which control fear, motivation, and mood

These changes due to cortisol hormones are effective at the time of stressful conditions. It is a normal process and effective for survival. But if the cortisol level constantly high for a long period. It gets a negative effect on your body.

  • Insomnia
  • Reduce energy
  • Week immune system

Different humans respond differently under stress like someone takes new work as a challenge and does hard work for that but that is not similar for all one, maybe another person takes it as a workload and takes stress due to new work. It depends on how you react in a new situation and undesirable conditions. Also, your nature, your conscience, your feeling, and your way of thinking affects the level of your stress.

Stress can help you to face challenges. Sometimes it gives you boost and makes more energetic toward your work may be inspired for more successful attempts and increase your concentration. But after some time, it is not much more supportive for you. And it badly affects your health, relationship, mood, productivity, nature, and personality also.

But there is no need to panic because any problem can’t be greater than your willpower. And yes, you will overcome from that situation if you can identify your problem your behavioral change, causes & symptom of the stress then obviously you can easily get rid of this problem

  3. Chronic stress

Acute Stress

It is not harmful It’s your body’s immediate action toward a new event, challenge, task, and demand. And It stimulates your fight-or-flight response. It might even be good for you. It comes for a temporary period e.g. Like, going on stage for the first time or a new place or when you learn any of new things.

All these things may give you stress, but it is temporary. once you get out of that environment or habitual for that then your stress will also go away.

Episodic Acute Stress

It is caused when acute stress happens frequently. It happens in those people who always worried and anxious about their work. Sometime episodic stress can happen due to overthinking. Also, there are many professions whose environment is full of stress most of the time like lawyers, police, security forces, and more like these. Due to their stressful environment, you can fell they are always anxious, irritate, and might be angry. 

Episodic acute stress gets some effect on your body like:

  • May increase heart rate
  • Sometimes blood glucose level is increases
  • High blood pressure
  • Muscular pain, headache, back pain
  • Change in emotional behavior- anger, anxious, irritable, short-tempered, depress, tense  

Chronic Stress

It is generally the most harmful. In this state, the level of stress is extremely high and stress can stay for a long period. This long-lasting type of stress might be harmful to your body.

This type of stress mainly affects all the system of your body it gives a negative impact on your digestive system, suppress your immune system, affect the reproductive health, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke also enhance the aging process it also affects your mental health.

Can you imagine? If stress increase constantly then it affects your social life too. You get angry at someone for without any reason, you can easily irritate, sometimes people separate themselves socially, their relationship with their family is affected, they don’t take interest in any occasions or activities. There are lots of similar example present which brutally affect you mentally physically and socially.

There is nothing greater than your willpower if you want to do anything then you can do that. So, don’t depressed and never take the wrong decision to overcome from this problem.

Sometimes people choose the wrong path to overcome from this problem they started alcohol, smoking, and another abusive thing that affects their body health and wealth also.
